Description	This article discusses a case study that deals with the application of regression analysis and generation of association rules in data mining research in consumer behaviour in the food market. The data obtained from questionnaire survey of the Department of Marketing and Trade of Faculty of Business and Economics of Mendel University in Brno are analysed by mentioned method to find dependencies among individual characteristics of consumer behaviour in food market in the Czech Republic. The aim of this study is to identify the possibilities of these methods in the issues and to describe their suitability or unsuitability for solving such problems.
