Description
| - Introduction Parkinson's disease is a chronic progressive incurable illness. However, its symptoms can be suppressed, and its progression slowed down by rehabilitation procedures, and thus the quality of life of these patients can be improved. The single step up belongs to the common locomotor activities of daily living. During this motor activity the body, upon the setting of one leg, has to be able to keep the balance and adjust a stable upright posture for performing a voluntary movement. Imbalance in performing of this functional task may even cause falls with different undesired consequences. Postural motorics play an important role in the process of choosing the optimal plan and execution of movement for the adaptation of single step up models under different external conditions. Aim of the study The aim of this study was to examine the muscular activation and to determine the sequence of selected trunk and leg muscles activation whilst stepping up in patients with Parkinson's d
