Description	A series of specialized colloquia entitled %22Mössbauer Spectroscopy in Materials Science (MSMS)%22 was initiated in the Central Europe. They have been regularly organized since 1994 alternatively in Slovakia and Czech Republic with a two-year periodicity. Up to now, following colloquia took place: (1) 1994 - Kočovce (Slovakia); (2) 1996 - Valtice (Czech Republic); (3) 1998 - Senec; (4) 2000 - Velké Losiny; (5) 2002 - Smolenice; (6) 2004 - Všemina; (7) 2006 - Kočovce; (8) 2008 - Hlohovec u Břeclavi; (9) 2010 - Liptovský Ján. This year, the 10th MSMS colloquium was organized in the Czech Republic in Olomouc. 60 scientific researchers and academic workers from 10 countries participated in the colloquium, 30 lectures were delivered. Beside this, poster session was introduced for the first time, allowing Ph.D. students and young researchers to present the results of their scientific works employing Mössbauer spectroscopy technique.
