Description	Území České republiky se vyznačuje pestrou geologickou stavbou, což se odráží i na relativně různorodém přírodním potenciálu území a bohatství některých ložisek nerostných surovin. Jejich těžba s rozdílnou intenzitou v jednotlivých historických obdobích však znamená často vážné narušení přírodního prostředí a projevuje se výraznou antropogenní transformací reliéfu. Území dotčená těžbou přitom často leží i v územích, která mají ze zákona stanovený ochranný režim (například v \CHKO a NP). I když v posledním desetiletí dochází k celkovému poklesu těžba v těchto územích, přesto jsou CHKO, ve kterých těžba nerostných surovin roste a dochází tak k vážným střetům mezi zájmy ochrany přírody a těžařských společností. (cs) Althrough in modern history the Czech Republic and the prevbious state formations within its present area did not rank among leading mining countries, the utilisation of domestic raw deposits was high in the past. Over the course of each individual historical period, priorities in terms of extraction of minerals changed, and this was reflected in the varied intensity of extraction with a number of consequences including noticeable changes in the relief. At present in the Czech Republic, there are 1003 mining spaces with a total area of 1547 km2. Althrough in modern history the Czech Republic and the prevbious state formations within its present area did not rank among leading mining countries, the utilisation of domestic raw deposits was high in the past. Over the course of each individual historical period, priorities in terms of extraction of minerals changed, and this was reflected in the varied intensity of extraction with a number of consequences including noticeable changes in the relief.
