| Description
| - Purpose: We evaluated porcine small intestinal submucosa (SIS) used in the treatment for inflammatory, iatrogenic, posttraumatic and idiopatic strictures of bulbar and penile urethra. Mid-term maintenance of urethral patency was assessed. Materials and Methods: In total of 50 patients 45-73 old with anterior urethral stricture underwent urethroplasty using porcine SIS collagen based matrix for urethral reconstruction. Stricture was localized in bulbar urethra in 10 patients, in bulbopenile in 31 and 9 patients had stricture in the distal penile urethra. All patients received four layered SIS patch graft in onlay fashion. A voiding history, IPSS, retrograde and antegrade urethrography, uroflowmetry and cystoscopy were performed preoperatively and postoperatively. Failure was defined as stricture confirmed on urethrogram. Results: After a mean follow up period of 31,2 months (range 24-36 months), the clinical, radiological and cosmetic findings were excellent in 40 (80%) of the fifty patients treated

- Cíle: Vhodnou operační metodou na striktury přední uretry, které jsou příliš dlouhé na excizi a reanastomozu, je substituční uretroplastika volným graftem nebo stopkatým kožním lalokem. Další možností je použití allo či xenograftu. Autoři hodnotí zkušenost s porcinní acelulární kolagenní matrix (SIS) při operační léčbě striktur močové trubice. Metody: V říjnu 2003 - prosinci 2004 jsme provedli rekonstrukci močové trubice pomocí 4-vrstvé SIS u 50 mužů ve věku 28-74 let (průměr 51,9 let). Matrix je komerčně dostupná - SURGISIS SLH 4S, Cook Urological Inc. Doba sledování byla 16-32 měsíců (průměr 25,9). Bylo hodnoceno IPSS a UFM křivka každé 3 měsíce. Uretrografie byla provedena každý rok, při Qmax < 15 ml/s nebo IPSS > 7 ihned. Recidiva striktury byla definována jako stenóza při uretrografii. Výsledky: Rekonstrukce byla úspěšná u 40 (80%) pacientů, recidiva se vyvinula u 10 (20%) pacientů. Všechny recidivy se vyvinuly časně - od 2 do 6 měsíců po operaci, u 4 pacientů na proximálním konci matrix (cs)
