Description	The presented text is focused on the specifics of one of the main instruments of Islamic finances, namely bonds functioning in accordance with Islam – sukuk. The international market of Islamic bonds has been dynamically growing for several years in a row and is becoming an interesting alternative for conventional investors who are trying to find a suitable investment opportunity and diversify their portfolio. Simultaneously, the specific relationship between the Islamic law and economics, or rather finance, is a unique opportunity to explore the interaction of these two fields. The aim of this work is to define the basic philosophy of its structure and together with this underline the main friction surfaces between the Islamic regulation and economic practice while emphasizing the practical implications of this dispute into everyday economic reality.
