Description	This paper deals with the impact of modelling of globalization on the composition of government expenditure using panel data for the selected new European Union countries. Our empirical strategy is to estimate system of equations in order to uncover to what extent the relative importance of specific expenditure categories is influenced by globalization. We use different measures of globalization (foreign direct investment (FDI) and trade (TRADE) as sum of exports and imports of goods and services measured as a share of gross domestic product). We investigate this panel model for the seven selected new EU member states during period 1995-2008. We use four control variables. We estimate our panel regression model using SUR including cross-section country effects. Our results show that globalization influenced the total and composition of government expenditure in a notable way.
