Description
  • Metallurgical plants are producing large amounts of industrial waste. Today’s question is an effective waste disposal. These wastes include a wide range of substances with different consistency, physical and chemical properties and mineralogical composition. Metallurgical waste can be divided into flue dust and sludge, which include waste from the operation of blast furnaces (medium iron-rich), waste from steel mills and rolling mill scale (iron-rich) and waste produced in other plants (flue dust and sludge). A special group is blast furnace and steel mill slag phases. The waste generated during the production of pig iron and steel (blast furnace and steel flue dust and sludge) can be directly recycled within the metallurgical process. Dust and fine components are heavily usable. The solution of this problem is the use of waste for further manufacturing or processing and subsequent economic evaluation. The purpose of cementing fine-grained metallurgical waste is a compact material which has sufficient handling strength. Compact material created from fine waste material prevents fine particles from escape in exhaust system during production in melting unit.
