Description
| - The ferromanganese steels TWIP with content of 17% till 20% of manganese they are fully austenitic and non-magnetic, without the phase transformation. They are light and they are characterized by high strength and very good ductility. The steels TWIP are very attractive especially thanks their high capability of absorption of gust energy, which is more as two-fold in comparison with the conventional highly tenacious steels. Except of their content of manganese and carbon (from 0.4 to 0.9%) these steels can be alloyed with next additives, in particular with Si or Al (from 2 to 4%). The advantage here is the compatibility with the groovy production processes of steels with the other qualities, inclusive of their following treatments through fluent casting, rolling, and pressing and their good weldability. For the performance of the experiment there was prepared an alloy of Fe-Mn-C, by the technology of plasma metallurgy, with using of argon with the purity level of 4N6.
