  • This paper deals with measurement, analyses and results of experiments oriented to determine the distribution of elements between molten oxide mixture and steel melt. Samples of steel weighing 300 g were melted in a corundum crucible under argon atmosphere. Then, the surface of steel was covered with 30 g of oxide mixture, and after the temperature reaching 1600 °C followed dwell time of 10 minutes and spontaneous fall of temperature. Analyses were done. Compositions of the oxide mixtures and of the steels after experiments were compared with their compositions before experiments
