  • Hot parts of turbines are often made of nickel superalloys due to extreme requirements posed on them. This concerns particularly strength at high temperatures, resistance to fatigue failure, resistance to aggressive effect of combustion products, etc. These alloys ensure high reliability and safety at their industrial exploitation. All these factors are connected with stability of microstructure at high temperature exposition. The presented article deals with analysis of material structure of the cast variant of the nickel superalloy INCONEL 792 ? 5A after long-term annealing at high-temperatures. Numerous findings were obtained, which represent technical and physical engineering background for determination of stability of investigated superalloy that are necessary for its technical application.
