Description
  • Catalytic decomposition of nitrous oxide was studied over Co-Mn-Al hydrotalcite-like catalysts. The effect of Mn/Al ratio on the activity was tested. Samples were characterized by various methods. The most active catalyst for N2O decomposition was the Co-Mn-Al calcined hydrotalcite with molar ratio Mn/Al = 1, which contains optimal amount of components reducible in the temperature range in that the catalytic reaction proceeds. The existence of such optimum is in relation to the hypothetical mechanism of N2O decomposition and can be explained by using the concept of polaron hopping mechanism.

  • Katalytický rozklad oxidu dusného byl sledován na sérii katalyzátorů připravených kalcinací Co-Mn-Al. sloučenin typu hydrotalcitu. Byl studován vliv molárního poměru Mn/Al na aktivitu katalyzátorů. Nejaktivnějším katalyzátorem byl vzorek obsahující Mn a Al v poměru 1:1 a obsahující optimální množství redukovatelných složek. Existence optima je v souladu s hypotetickým mechanismem rozkladu N2O a lze jej vysvětlit pomocí polaronové teorie. (cs)
