  • Průmyslové monokrystaly wolframu a molybdenum technické čistoty jsou charakterizovány zvýšeným obsahem uhlíku v důsledku použití nedostatečně čistého výchozího materiálu. Negativní vliv uhlíku na wolfram a molybden je spojen s jeho velmi nízkou rozpustností v těchto kovech a tvorbou stabilních karbidů. Vznikající karbidické fáze působí jako koncentrátory napětí a jsou zdroje mikrotrhlin, vyvolávající zkřehnutí. Tato fáze, která je specifická svou vysokou tvrdostí a křehkostí, se může rovněž nacházet ve formě tenké vrstvy na hranicích zrn a způsobuje zkřehnutí podél hranic zrn. Tento příspěvek se zabývá vlivem tepelného cyklování v ochranné atmosféře a vysokoteplotního žíhání ve vakuu na snížení obsahu uhlíku v monokrystalech a polykrystalech wolframu. (cs)
  • Industrial tungsten and molybdenum single crystals of the technical purity are characterized by the increased content of carbon due to using of impure initial materials. The negative effect of carbon (brittleness) on the tungsten and molybdenum is connected with his very low solubility in these metals and the creation of stable carbides. The rising carbidic phase acts as stress raisers and is the sources of microcracks evoking the embrittlement. This phase, which is specific with their high hardness and brittleness, can appear in the form of thin layers at grain boundaries too and cause the embrittlement along grain boundaries. This paper deals with the influence of thermocycling in the protective atmosphere and high-temperature annealing in vacuum on the decrease of carbon content in tungsten single- and polycrystals.
