Description	Katedra materiálového inženýrství VŠB -TU Ostrava se dlouhodobě zabývá systematickým výzkumem v oblasti struktury a vlastností technických materiá-lů, jejich degradačními procesy, včetně problematiky koroze a protikorozní ochrany, zkoušením mechanických vlastností a tepelným zpracováním kovo-vých materiálů. Všechny tyto oblasti jsou na katedře cíleně rozvíjeny a podpo-rovány řadou grantových projektů. diagnostiky materiálů. V tomto příspěvku chceme odbornou veřej-nost seznámit s některými možnostmi, vybavením a výzkumným zaměřením laboratoře koroze a laboratoře struktury materiálů. Department of Materials Engineering of VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava per-forms the research in the fields of structure and properties of technological materials and their degradation, including the research of corrosion and corrosion protection, test-ing of mechanical properties and heat treatment of metal materials. The activities of the department include the basic research as well as making expertises for industrial sub-jects from a broad region. All these activities are developed for a long time and are sup-ported by a number of grant projects. The presented posters aim at providing some information about the possibilities, equipment and research directions at the laboratory of corrosion and the laboratory of the structure of materials of the department.
