  • Our paper solves the problem of mine water treatment by application of membrane process especially electrodialysis. The main aim of this research work is to design and verify technology of mine water treatment from brown coal mine applying electrodialysis with different input of volume and the possibility of using diluate for drinking water treatment. For laboratory experiment were used mine water from mine wastewater treatment plant (ÚDV) Vršany in different ratio diluate and concentrate (2:0.5 liter and 10:0.5 liter). All tests were conducted on a laboratory unit EDR- Z 10/0.8 (Mega a.s., Stráž pod Ralskem) in batch mode at constant voltage conditions (14 V). The results show that it is possible to achieve high quality of diluate (80 - 90 %) and reduce the volume of concentrate. Parameters of diluate were compared with the Regulation No. 252/2004 for the drinking water.
