Description
  • This work is focused on assessing the suitability of using passive reflection distancemeter in engineering geodesy. For Leica TCR1201+ and Topcon GPT-8203M total stations are evaluated factors that affect the precision of length measurements; and whether the experimentally detected standard deviation are in accordance with the values measurement accuracy dictated by producers of the test equipment. There is investigated the aim influence to different colors and types of surfaces and the effect of aim on target with non-perpendicular angle of impact measurement beam. Test results of both total stations have been compared. The research was designed through experimental measurements on the rangefind base of VSB-Technical University of Ostrava. For system total station-target additive constants and standard deviation measurements have been intended. Observed characteristics of accuracy in the most cases corresponded linear measurement accuracy of reported test equipment producers. Results indicate that with increasing twisting of the test sample from the perpendicular to aim line accuracy decrease, whereas for perpendicular aims to target limits angle measurement have been set. Further is discussed the acquired knowledge from own research with the available works on a similar topic.
