Description	One hundred fifty species of dinoflagellate cysts are reported from Upper Cretaceous samples of claystones from the Godula and Istebna formations of the Silesian unit. Age-assessment of the sediments in question suggests a Late Campanian to probably earliest Maastrichtian age of the middle and upper part of the Godula Formation and a Early Maastrichtian age of the basal part of the Istebna Formation. Palynofacies analysis shows deposition in an offshore marine environment subjected to influxes of terrestrial material. Na základě stratigrafické interpretace je možno střední část godulského souvrství zařadit do svrchního campanu a spodní část istebňanského souvrství do spodního maastrichtu. (cs)
