| Description
| - The basic precondition for land planning or building the foundations of construction works in a certain area is the integrated knowledge of engineering-geological conditions that are a decisive factor of high-quality and effective building the foundations of potential construction works. The main reason for the studyl is the insufficient use of engineering-geological data for land planning and designing activity by competent authorities. The overall project deals with an analysis of engineering-geological zones, workability of rocks, type of preQuarternary bedrock, floodlands, subsidence caused by undermining, slope movements and radon hazard, while the presented paper rates only two of those geofactors - floodlands and radon. The applied method makes use of the possibilities of Geographical Information Systems, terrain research, documentation and study of archives. - Základním předpokladem pro územní plánování, zakládání staveb na určitém území je ucelené poznání inženýrskogeologických poměrů, které jsou rozhodujícím faktorem pro kvalitní a účelné založení potenciálních staveb. Hlavním důvodem pro studii je nedostatečné využívání inženýrskogeologických údajů pro účely územního plánování a projekční činnost kompetentními orgány. Celkově projekt se zabývá analýzou inženýrskogeologických rajónů, těžitelnosti hornin, typu předkvartérního podkladu, inundačních území, poklesů způsobených poddolováním, svahovými pohyby a radonovým rizikem, přičemž předložený článek hodnotí dva těchto geofaktorů - inundační území, radonové riziko. Metodika, která to umožňuje využívá možnosti Geografických informačních systémů, terénního výzkumu, dokumentace a archivního studia. Lokalizace výzkumu je vybrané oblasti města Ostravy, která byla ovlivněna bývalou hornickou činnosti těžbě černého uhlí. Má různorodé poměry z hlediska zakládání staveb a proto je velmi vhodná na uvedený výzkum. (cs)
