Description
  • In this contribution, our aim was to explain the analysis and evaluation processes, for objects of interest present in mining images, and to assess the progress or regressions illustrated in these objects. This article describes procedures that employ common principles and methods for recognizing regions of interest in images that may serve in finding and determining the coordinates, shape properties and other valuable parameters of analyzed objects. There exists an entire class of algorithms and methods for extracting segments with certain parameters from rather specific class of mining images. We focus on active contours and the optimization of active contour parameters by SOMA.
