  • V referátu jsou prezentovány výsledky mechanických biologických zkoušek nanostrukturního titanu (nTi) a poukázáno na vhodnost tohoto materiálu pro dentální implantáty. Nanostruktura je v titanu vytvářena intenzivní plastickou deformací (SPD), metodou protlačování úhlovým kanálem o stejném průřezu (ECAP) v kombinaci s tepelně mechanickým zpracováním. Byly srovnávány vzorky z komerčně čistého (CP) titanu Grade 4 se strukturou s konvenčním zrnem (CG) se vzorky z téhož materiálu s nanostrukturou (CPnTi). CPnTi materiál má mnohem vyšší mechanické a únavové vlastnosti. Navíc testy biokompatibility prováděné na buňkách L929 ukázaly, že kolonizace fibroblastů na povrch CPnTi se proti CPCGTi povrchu dramaticky zvýšila. nTi lze tudíž považovat za materiál, z hlediska mechanických a biologických vlastností, za materiál vhodný pro medicínské aplikace (cs)
  • This paper reports the results of mechanical and biological testing of nanostructured titanium (nTi) and demonstrates its applicability for dental implants. Nanostructure of titanium is produced by severe plastic deformation (SPD) using method of Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) with combination of Thermo-Mechanical Treatment (TMT). It was compared commercially pure (CP) Grade 4 Ti conventionally grained (CG) versus nTi. CP nTi has much better mechanical and fatigue properties. More over, cytocompatibility test utilizing fibroblast mice cells L929 showed, that fibroblast colonization of CPnTi surface is dramatically increased versus CGCPTi surface. Hence, nTi is a material considered to be mechanically and biocompatibility suitable for medical applications.
