Description
  • The article describes an intelligent Infra Red sensor module for the education mobile robot. The unit can measure a distance to obstacles in the robot's surrounding in eight directions and four levels. Firmware of this sensor unit consists a safeguard against irregular detections and supports averaging of the received obstacles for the improving of the reliability. Due to modular concept of the unit including its connecting on I2C bus (as slave) there is not problem to use several units together. The information of this sensor unit is intended for navigation and orientation software of the mobile robot. Its binary character enables easy implementation into neural nets including association with data of other sensor types.

  • Článek popisuje modul IR senzorů určeného pro edukační mobilní robot. Jednotka umožňuje měřit vzdálenost k překážkám v okolí robotu v 8 (16) směrech ve 4 úrovních. Firmware modulu obsahuje zabezpečení vůči falešným detekcím a umožňuje volbu průměrování přijatých vzorků (detekovaných cílů) pro zvýšení spolehlivosti. Díky modulární koncepci modulu a jeho napojení na sběrnici I2C (jako slave) není problém použít více těchto modulů současně. Data poskytovaná tímto modulem jsou určena pro navigační a orientační software mobilního robotu. Svou binární povahou umožňují jednoduchou implementaci do neuronových sítí i ve spojení s daty jiných typů senzorů. (cs)
