Description
  • One of the main safety problems of coalmines in the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin are rock bursts. Their strong effect occurs first of all in gateroads. To understand the mechanisms of damage the behaviour of roadway steel arch support under dynamic loading was mathematically modelled see also [1,2]. Numerical solution was done by program ANSYS with bilinear material properties of steel. Different shape and size of steel arches were modelled and inverse analysis of loading impulse was done. For investigating of strain and kinetic energy in course of dynamic response the macro in APDL language of ANSYS has been developed. Results of modelling including influence of contact quality between support and rock are discussed.
