Description
  • Paper concerns graphical method of determining of optimal shape and size of blank for drawing of stampings. The substance of this method is in constructing of the maximum shear stress trajectories (the M. S. S. T.) network round the outline of contact of draw punch with blank at the beginning of drawing. Then the outline curve of blank is drawn to the M. S. S. T. network. For drawing of the M. S. S. T. author designed special curve. By the use of mentioned curve great time savings are achieved in comparison with the method of drawing of logarithmic spirals which has been used yet, especially at drawing of greater number of spirals. Measurement of angles, lengths and all arithmetical operations altogether falls away, greater accuracy and perfect fluency of curvatures is achieved. Designed curve can be used even for construction of characteristics in hodographs of velocities, which have shape of logarithmic spirals.
