Description
  • Empirical calculation methods leading to determination of blast load on building structures are verified in this paper. For determination of overpressure during explosion of gas or vapour of combustible liquids, various computational approaches exist but their corresponding to real values is not very clear and their utilization in practice is not demonstrated. The contribution presents the results of evaluation of 8 equations, pointing out the most universal formula, together with the most suitable formula for given geometry and type of flammable gas.
