Description	On any construction material are higher and higher requirements both in term of their usable qualities and also in term of their durability. One of many methods, how to modify characteristics of building materials, is application of alternative materials. This paper deals with possibilities of partial or full supplying of primary components in cement bonded materials by fast renewable raw materials. That will achieve a decrease in production loads, modification of building board characteristics and, last but not least, a decrease in ecological damage. The paper especially surveys processing and utilization of technical hemp (cannabis sativa) as an alternative to wood particles used as a filler in cement bonded materials. Fundamental contribution of this application is renewable raw materials utilization, at contemporary achievement of specific material characteristics and their economic preferences.
