Description	Využívanie emočnej inteligencie (EI) sa chápe v súčasnosti ako dôležitá požiadavka ošetrovateľstva v starostlivosti o pacienta. V štúdiu EI existujú dva smery, líšia sa podľa toho, či spájajú schopnosti a osobnostné črty alebo nie. Vo výskume realizovanom v súbore študentov ošetrovateľstva (N=86) sme sledovali EI oboma spôsobmi. Použili sme škály STEU (Situational Test of Emotional Understanding) na zisťovanie emočnej inteligencie ako schopnosti a SEIS (Schutte Emotion Intelligence Scale), ktorá meria EI ako črtu. V kontexte ošetrovateľstva sme zisťovali EI ako profesijnú črtu vzťahujúcu sa k starostlivosti o geriatrického pacienta. TEIQ-SF (Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire - short form) je nástroj, ktorým sme sa inšpirovali v tvorbe dotazníka vlastnej konštrukcie. Výsledky potvrdzujú špecifickosť konštruktov emočnej inteligencie. Rozdiely v mierach emočnej inteligencie nie sú štatisticky významné pri porovnaní študentov rôznych ročníkov. The use of emotional intelligence (EI) is seen today as an important requirement in the nursing care of a patient. In the study of EI, there are two streams which differ depending on whether they associate EI with abilities or personality traits. In the research conducted in a sample of nursing students (n = 86), the both of them were observed. We used a scale of SIT-EMO (Situational Test of Emotional Understanding) for the detection of EI as a skill and SEIS (Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale), which measures EI as a trait. In the context of nursing, we investigated emotional self-efficacy relating to the care of geriatric patients (ESE-GP). TEIQue-SF (Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire - short form) is a methodology which inspired us when creating the questionnaire of our own design. The results can be seen as a contribution to the verification of a created psychometric methodology ESE-GP, its reliability and validity. (en)
