  • In tobacco leaves inoculated with TMV, changes in chlorophyll and carotenoid contents, parameters of slow Chl fluorescence kinetics, i.e. the maximum quantum yield of photosystem 2 (PS2) photochemistry Fv/Fm, the effective quantum yield of photochemical energy conversion in PS2 ?2, ratio of quantum yields of photochemical and concurrent non-photochemical processes in PS2 Fv/F0, non-photochemical quenching (NPQ), and photochemical activities of isolated chloroplasts were investigated. The Chl and carotenoid contents in infected leaves decreased with a progression of infection and were lowest in LGI. The ratio of Chl a/b declined similarly. The maximum quantum yield of PS2 photochemistry Fv/Fm, was decreased in the following order: first stage, DGI, and LGI. The same is true for the ratio Fv/F0.   • Studovali jsme změny v koncentraci chlorofylu a karotenoidů, parametry pomalé indukce fluorescence Chl a to: maximální kvantový výtěžek fotochemie fotosystému 2 (PS 2) Fv/Fm, efektivní kvantový výtěžek přeměny fotochemické energie v PS 2 ?2, poměr kvantových výtěžků fotochemických a nefotochemických procesů v PS 2 Fv/F0, nefotochemické zhášení (NPQ) a fotochemické aktivity isolovaných chloroplastů z tabákových listů infikovaných TMV. Obsah chlorofylu i karotenoidů poklesl v během postupu infekce, byl nejnižší v LGI ve druhém stádiu. Podobně poklesl i poměr chl a/b. Maximální kvantový výtěžek fotochemie PS 2 Fv/Fm se snižoval v pořadí: první stadium, DGI, LGI. Totéž jsme nalezli i u Fv/F0. Snížení ?2 v infikovaných listech se zmenšovalo proti jejich kontrolám. Naproti tomu NPQ v infikovaných listech vzrůstalo a nejvyšší hodnoty dosahovalo v prvním stádiu infekce.
