  • Při plazmovém stříkání slitinových prášků se jejich složení obvykle mění vlivem selektivní oxidace a selektivního odpařování. V této práci bylo studováno selektivní odpařování Al a Cr ze čtyř binárních slitin (Fe-Al, Fe-Cr a dvou slitin Ni-Cr). Pokles koncentrace Al ve slitině Fe-Al přesáhl 5%, kdežto snížení koncentrace Cr ve slitinách Fe-Cr a Ni-Cr bylo nejvýše 0,3%. Vliv selektivní oxidace byl také úplně odlišný: Cr ve slitinách byl oxidací spotřebováván mnohem rychleji než Al. Interpretace experimentálních výsledků byla založena na výpočtech rovnovážného tlaku nasycených par všech významných složek při teplotách až 3200 K. Výsledky termodynamických výpočtů potvrzují pokles koncentrací Cr ve slitinách Fe-Cr a Ni-Cr. Pro Al je shoda méně dobrá, což je nejpravděpodobněji dáno odlišným způsobem pokrytí povrchu kapek taveniny Fe-Al taveninou oxidu Al. (cs)
  • During plasma spraying of alloy powders, their composition usually changes due to selective oxidation and selective vaporization. Selective vaporization of Al and Cr from four binary alloy powders (Fe-Al, Fe-Cr, and two Ni-Cr alloys) was studied. The decrease of Al concentration in a Fe-Al alloy amounted to more than 5%, whereas the Cr concentration fall was not higher than 0.3% in Fe-Cr and Ni-Cr alloys. The effect of selective oxidation was also quite different: Cr was consumed by oxidation at a considerably higher rate than Al. The interpretation of experimental results was based on equilibrium calculations of saturated vapour pressures of all important species at the temperatures up to 3200 K. The results of thermodynamic calculations confirm the Cr concentration decrease in Fe-Cr and Ni-Cr alloys. For Al, the agreement is not so good, which is due most likely to a different coverage of molten Fe-Al alloy drops by the Al-oxide melt.
