Description	Molecular mechanism of the inhibition reaction of lactam peroxy radicals with phenoxy and diphenylaminyl radicals, yielding imide groups from peroxy radicals, was studied by ab initio quantum chemical methods. The reaction proceeds through a four-membered ring reaction center, breakage of the O-O bond of the lactam peroxy radical, with simultaneous transfer of hydrogen from the carbon atom to the departing oxygen.
