  • Using track-etch detectors, an attempt to distinguish the contribution of primary particles and of fragments in heavy ion beams have been made. From LET spectra, dose characteristics, such as absorbed dose, dose equivalent, or quantity characterizing radiobiological effectiveness, were determined.
