Description	Radiation damage of the lac repressor DNA-binding domain, the headpiece, is most likely to be responsible of function loss (binding of the repressor to a specific DNA base sequence, the operator). Using CD, fluorescence spectroscopy, combination of proteolytic cleavage with MS and theoretical calculations, the state of irradiated repressor headpiece has been examined. (en) Radiační poškození DNK vazebné domény lac represoru, tzv. hlavy, je nejpravděpodobnějším důvodem ztráty funkčnosti (vazba represoru na specifickou sekvenci bází DNK, tzv. operátor). Stav ozářené hlavy byl studován pomocí cirkulárního dichroismu, fluorescenční spektrometrie, kombinace štěpení proteázami a hmotnostní spektrometrie a teoretických výpočtů. (cs)
