  • Práce prezentuje výsledy studia efektu žíhání na chemické složení tenkých vrstev APE (Annealed Proton Exchange) optických vlnovoů LiNbO3 a jejich optické vlastnosti. Testované vzorky byly žíhány při různých podmínkách, koncentrační profily sledovaných prvků byly charakterizovány nukleárními analytickými metodami (NDP, ERDA, HIERDA); obsah skupin OH, které jsou nežádoucí v aktivních vlnovodech, byl analyzován absorpční spektroskopií IR; vlnovodné vlastnosti vzorků byly určovány spektroskopií modů při vlnové délce 632.8 nm. V práci bylo zjištěno, že vodík inkorporovaný do vrtsev APE vniká při žíhání hluboko do substrátu a snižuje tím totální refraktivní index. V důsledku toho se krystalografická fáze vrstev APE mění v alfa fázy. Množství skupin OH se redukuje při vysokých teplotách žíhání, existuje však limita cca 400 C, při které vlnovodné vlastnosti degradují. (cs)
  • The paper reports on study of annealing effects on the resultant chemical composition of the APE (Annealed Proton Exchange) layers and their optical properties. The samples were annealed at various conditions, the concentration profiles of elements were analyzed by nuclear analytical methods (NDP, ERDA, HIERDA); the content of OH groups, which are undesirable in the active waveguiding layers, was studied by IR absorption spectroscopy; the waveguiding properties of samples were determined by mode spectroscopy at 632.8 nm. It was found that hydrogen introduced into the APE layers moves during annealing deep into the substrate lowering so total refractive index. Consequently, the crystallographic phase of the APE layers changes towards the alpha-phase. The amount of OH groups depends on the annealing temperatures, the higher is temperature the lower is the OH group content. Limit is about 400 C, higher temperature causes degradation of the wavegiuding properties.
