Description	Properties of wind turbines using different types of electric machines are compared in the paper with respect to their abilities to reduce the negative effects of torque and speed variations. Variations in the active and reactive powers generated by wind turbines due to wind speed changes and particularly by tower shadow effect may cause serious problems in operation of isolated or distant power networks. Resulting flicker effect may deteriorate power quality in connected power networks. Use of doubly fed machines with suitable control method may substantially reduce impacts of these phenomena. Vector control of doubly fed machines is analyzed and discussed in the paper with respect to the compensation of varying speed or mechanical torque produced by wind turbines. (en) V článku jsou porovnány vlastnosti větrných elektráren využívajících různé typy elektrických strojů s ohledem na jejich schopnost omezit negativní dopady kolísání momentu a otáček. Změny generovaného činného a jalového výkonu větrné elektrárny způsobené proměnnou rychlostí větru a zejména vlivem větrného stínu věže elektrárny mohou způsobit vážné problémy v provozu izolovaných nebo odloučených energetických sítí. Vyvolaný flikr pak může vést ke zhoršení kvality dodávané elektrické energie. Použití dvojitě napájených strojů s vhodným způsobem řízení výrazným způsobem přispívá k omezení negativního vlivu těchto jevů. V článku je analyzováno a popsáno vektorové řízení dvojitě napájeného stroje z hlediska jeho kompenzačního vlivu na proměnné složky rychlosti a mechanického momentu vytvářeného větrnou elektrárnou.
