  • Ve velkém aerodynamickém tunelu hamburské university, ve kterém je možno modelovat atmosferickou mezní vrstvu, byl zopakován polní experiment MUST (Mock Urban Setting Test), který proběhl v září 2001 v Západní Poušti, Utah, USA. Experimenty provedené in-situ byly nejenom zopakovány, ale i systematicky rozšířeny. Advekční rychlost byla odvozena na základě dvou rozdílných metod . První metoda je založena na současném měření časových řad koncentrae pasivní příměsi a následném výpočtu korelačního koeficientu pro různé časové posuny obou řad. Druhá metoda vychází z měření koncentací po náhlém otevření zdroje a čas mezi otevřením a první detekcí určuje advekční rychlost. Byla nalezena dobrá shoda výsledků obdržená oběma metodami. (cs)
  • The regular obstacle array of the Mock Urban Setting Test (MUST) field site in the Utah West Desert has been replicated in the large boundary layer wind tunnel at Hamburg University. Dispersion from a point source within an idealized urban canopy for various wind directions was a main focus of wind tunnel measurements. Two different methods were used to estimate travelling time of passive tracer through the array. The first evident method was based on measuring instantaneous behaviour of the plume while switching on and off the source; second one used the spatial concentration correlation obtained from simultaneous measurement at two positions. Different travelling time behaviour for points situated along and perpendicular to street canyons has been detected.
