Description	Partial alkylation with ethyl chloroacetate followed by an acid hydrolysis gave selectively 3-O-carboxyethyl derivative of coumestrol, which will be used for the preparation of polyclonal antibody. 2,4-Diisopropylhydroxybenzyl alcohol was tetste as a starting compound for the coumestrol synthesis but it was unstable under conditions used and calix(4)resorcinarene was isolated in very high yield. (en) Parciální alkylací ethyl-chloracetátem a následnou kyselou hydrolýzou byl připraven 3-O-karboxymethylderivát kumestrolu, který bude sloužit k imunizaci králíků pro získání protilátek. Výchozí látkou pro přípravu kumestrolu byl 2,4-diisopropylhydroxybenzylalkohol, který ale za různých podmínek poskytoval kalix(4)resorcinaren ve výtěžku vyšším než uvádějí publikované práce.
