Description
  • The paper presets a method for a contrast enhancement of stroke lesions in the computed tomography (CT) head images. The method consists of three ?lters used consecutively. The ?rst ?lter is 5x5 average ?lter, the second ?lter is 21x21 adaptive averaging ?lter and the third ?lter is 3x3 unsharp ?lter. The method is demonstrated on the CT head image containing a large stroke lesion. The results of the method are evaluated visually. The presented method improves delectability of the stroke lesion. The noise level is also signi?cantly reduced.
