  • Novel solid carrier configuration for white rot fungus Irpex lacteus in a trickle bed reactor for decolourization of textile dyes in water was tested in this work. Filtren TM30 carrier in a form of cylindrical blocks with parallel holes was used in this work. Fungus was capable to decolourize Remazol Brilliant Blue R in this configuration. Trickle bed reactor with immobilized Irpex lacteus on the Filtren TM carrier in the form of the block with parallel holes allow us to perform long experiments due to resistance of this system configuration to plugging by overgrowing mycelium. In addition it gives better decolourization rates than reactor with Filtren carrier in form of cubes and RBC reactor with the discs from Filtren.
