  • This paper summarizes results achieved in labelling texaphyrin with radionuclides (e.g. with 177Lu) and characterization of the metal-texaphyrin complexes. Thin layer chromatography (TLC) method was used for the quality control of the 177Lu-labeled texaphyrin. Thermal analysis, mass spectroscopy (MS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were used for the characterization of the Ca-texaphyrin, Lu-texaphyrin and Y-texaphyrin. The chemical and physical properties depend on the metal centrally placed into the cavity of the texaphyrin molecule. The labeling yield of the 177Lu-texaphyrin by the neutron irradiated Lu-Tex complex in the LVR-15 reactor was determined to be 40 %. The TLC technique is suitable for the separation of the 177Lu-Tex complex from the radionuclide 177Lu. The fact that texaphyrin exhibits a hight affinity of bonding to cancer cells is of great advantage as no antibody has to be applied.

  • Tento článek shrnuje výsledky dosažené ve značení texafyrinu radionuklidy (např. s 177Lu) a charakterizaci komplexů kov-texafyrin. Metoda tenkovrstvé chromatografie (TLC) byla aplikována pro kontrolu kvality značení texafyrinu radionuklidem 177Lu. Termická analýza, hmotnostní spektroskopie (MS) a infračervená spektroskopie s Fourierovou transformací (FT-IR) byly použity pro charakterizaci Ca-texafyrin, Lu-texafyrin a Y-texafyrin. Chemické a fyzikální vlastnosti závisejí na centrálním kovu umístěném v kavitě texafyrinu. Ozářením komplexu Lu-Tex tokem neutronů v reaktoru LVR-15 byl stanoven výtěžek značení 40 %. Pro separaci komplexu 177Lu-Tex od radionuklidu 177Lu je vhodná TLC metoda. Skutečnost, že texafyrin vykazuje vysokou afinitu vázání na nádorové buňky je velkou výhodou, neboť není nezbytné využití protilátky. (cs)
