Description	Jeden z hlavních nákladů spojených s nějakým chemickým procesem se týká zařízení. Cílem článku je diskutovat nedávné zkušenosti s určením charakteristických rozměrů, volbou konstrukčního materiálu, tlakové úrovně a dalších faktorů za účelem zjištění nákladů na zařízení. Metoda Langova faktoru, kromě dalších, byla po několik desetiletí často užívaná pro odhady řádových hodnot investičních nákladů na základě nákladů na zařízení. Kritický přehled jednotlivých položek ve struktuře Langova faktoru je také zahrnuta. Nakonec aplikace Marshall- Swiftova indexu nákladů na zařízení pro aktualizaci investičních nákladů je ilustrovaná na jednom průmyslovém případu. (cs) One of the major costs involved in any chemical process is for the equipment. The purpose of this paper is to discuss recent experience with determination of characteristic dimensions and other factors like a choice of construction material, pressure levels and other factors in order to arrive at the equipment costs. The Lang factor method, besides the others, has been frequently used for several decades to estimate the order of magnitude of investment costs on the basis of equipment costs. A critical review of individual items in the Lang factor structure is also involved. Finally the application of Marshall and Swift Equipment Cost Index for up-dating of investment costs is illustrated on one industrial case.
