Description	Case-Based reasoning is a problem-solving technique that is similar to the real decision-making process used in medicine, law, and business. Problems together with their answers are represented as cases. Given a new problem, the new answer is extrapolated from the answers of the most similar problems that were already solved and stored in the case database. We have used this approach for the metabolic state assessment of baker's yeast cultivations. In this particular problem the case database records consist of monitored variable EtOH, difference of variables EtOH and CO2 in 5 minutes and finally RQ . respiratory quotient.
