Description
  • A pilot scale biological treatment system for air emissions was installed and tested at a forest products plant in western Oregon, USA, which collected and treated gaseous emissions from the hardboard steam press vents on the top of the plant building. The bio-oxidation system was comprised of a particle pre-treatment unit Type W Rotoclone (wet hydrocyclone), a biotrickling filter and a biofilter with airflow capacity of up to 4.72 m3/s. Analysis of total VOC measurements from the system indicated removals down to less than 5 ppm in the effluent emissions. Emissions air samples were collected at different locations in the biological system for GC-MS analysis and characterization to identify specific VOCs and their removals.

  • Pilotní projekt biologického odstraňování plynných emisí z provozu vyrábějícího dřevovláknité desky byl instalován a testován ve dřevozpracujícím podniku v západním Oregonu, USA. Systém se skládal z předzpracující jednotky %22Type W Rotoclone%22 (hydrocyklon), biotrikling filtru a abiofiltru s objemovou zatižitelností plynem až 4.72 m3/s. analýza celkového množství VOC ukázala snížení koncentrace až pod 5 ppm ve výstupním plynu. Vzorky plynu byly také odebírány v různých místech biologické části zařízení a analyzovány na GC-MS pro zjištění přesného složení směsi odstraňovaných polutantů. (cs)
