Description
| - Využití průmyslových residuí pro biofiltraci H2S. (cs)
- Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is an odorous and colorless gas, extremely toxic. The biofiltration is a process used for the treatment of pollutant gases and consists of thepassage of the contaminated gaseous stream through a support material impregnated withmicroorganisms, with controlled moisture and pH. In this work three different supportmaterials, sugarcane bagasse, Pinus tree bark and peat, were evaluated for thebiofiltration of H2S (3000 ppmv) diluted in synthetic air. The support materials wereimpregnated with activated sludge from a local pulp and paper mill. The results showthat the removal of the H2S of the residual gas varied in the range of 70-90%, in theexperimental conditions studied for all support materials studied.
