Description	We have compared three species of corn (Zea mays L.) for their ability to take up and accumulate lead and cadmium in their biomass. The concentration of lead increased in the plant biomass during the vegetation. Concentration of cadmium in green biomass was higher than acceptable level, so there is limitation to use these plants as a forage (en) U tří hybridů kukuřice (Zea mays L.) byla srovnávána jejich schopnost přijímat olovo a kadmium a akumulovat tyto prvky ve své biomase. Koncentrace olova v rostlinách se v průběhu vegetace zvyšovala, zatímco množství kadmia v čase klesalo. Nejnižší koncen trace obou prvků byla zaznamenána v palicích. Koncentrace kadmia v zelené hmotě převyšovala přípustnou hladinu, a proto není možné využívat takto pěstovanou kukuřici jako krmivo.
