  • Systematic spatial risk analysis plays a crucial role in preventing emergencies. In the Czech Republic, risk mapping is currently based on the risk accumulation principle, area vulnerability, and preparedness levels of Integrated Rescue System components. Expert estimates are used to determine risk levels for individual hazard types, while statistical modelling based on data from actual incidents and their possible causes is not used.
