Description
  • This report deals of monitoring differences in the soil temperature under different mulches with comperison to fallow ground (soil without plants). A trial was established in three treatments on the experimental field of meteorological station ČZU in Prague. The soil was covered with crushed bark of coniferous trees in the first treatment, with black non-woven PP textile in the second treatment and with non-woven PP textile coloured grey in upper layer and coloured black in lower layer in the third treatment. Check treatment was fallow ground .The soil temperature was measured in the depth of 5 cm by thermosensors PT100 within the experiment. The global radiation was measured by pyranometer CM11 in the same time. Soil covering by bark increases the soil temperature in the seasons with low intensity of global radiation. The highest soil temperatures were reached under black non-woven PP textile and the lowest temperatures in the soil covered by bark, in days with higher intensity of global radiatio
