Description
  • Altogether seven species of the family Rhinophoridae were found in Podyjí NP, representing 77.8 % of the total Czech fauna of this family. The most frequent species was P. maculata found in 18 samples, followed by O. tergestina found in 16 samples. Localities hosting the most diverse rhinophorid species spectrum were Havraníky (6 species) and Hnanice (5 species). Comparing rhinophorid species spectrum found in Podyjí NP with Bílina and Duchcov environs (PAPE & BARTÁK 2001), the number of species found in the latter area was lower (5 species, O. tergestina and T. rubricosa were not found), Sörensen´s coefficient of similarity between these two areas was 83.3 %. On the contrary, the fauna of Pálava BR (GREGOR & ROZKOŠNÝ 1999) was equally rich (7 species), however, Melanophora roralis (Linnaeus, 1758) and Stevenia umbratica (Fallén, 1820) were found here instead of R. sarcophagina and T. rubricosa, thus, the coefficient of similarity between these two areas was slightly lower (71.4 %).
