Description
  • Altogether 52 species have been found in the study area (= 35.1 % of the total Czech fauna). Most of the species found are Palaearctic in distribution (19 species, 36.6 %), followed by European (12 species, 23.1 %), Holarctic (9 species, 17.3 %), and Cosmopolitan and Western Palaearctic (both 6 species, 11.5 %). Two species are recorded here for the first time from Moravia: L. fallax and S. unicornis. The record of P. obtecta confirms its occurrence in the Czech Republic [there have been only previously questionable records by KARNECKÁ (1976), later again same author as PEŠKOVÁ (1978), and by VAŇHARA (1981)]. The most frequent species in the study area proved to be N. picta and P. interstincta, both found in 15 samples, followed by P. nitidula (14 samples) and P. posticata (11 samples). These results are quite interesting because the species mentioned do not usually belong among the more common species in the Czech Republic. Much more common species are mostly euryoecious and ubiquitous spe
