Description
| - Altogether 49 species from the family Heleomyzidae (which represent 60 % of the total Czech fauna of this family) were found in the study area. The most species found are Eurosiberian im distribution (12 species, 24.5 %), followed by temperate and South European and European species (9 species both, 18.4 %), West Palaearctic (6 species, 12.2 %), and temperate and North European and Palaearctic species (4 species both, 8.1 %). Much smaller proportion belongs to Cosmopolitan (3 species), Holarctic and temperate European species (1 species each). The most species found are mycetophagous, saprophagous, necrophagous, coprophagous and only occasionaly phytophagous. Part of these species represent cavernicolous and nidicolous species. Most of cavernicolous species are also coprophagous or necrophagous (species of the genera Heleomyza, Neoleria, Oecothea, Eccoptomera, Heteromyza, Scoliocentra) or polyphagous (Tephrochlamys tarsalis). The members of the genera Suillia and Morpholeria are mostly mycetophagous.
