Description
  • Poultry meat, although being universally considered as dietetic food, is truly characterized by an excessive fatness. The aim of the experiment was to check whether feeding the broiler chicken with the mixture, containing addition of yeast preparation, enriched with chromium and iodine in a form of rockweed in the quantities higher than the requirements had an influence on the degree of carcass fatness in broiler chicken and also, on the body weight gains and feed conversion. The experiment was conducted with 3 groups of broiler chicken which received, during the period of feeding with grower-type mixture, 400 ppb of Cr(+3) (group II) and 5 mg of I per one kg of feed (group III). The addition of Cr(+3) in the form of yeast preparation and of iodine as rockweed affected positively the effectiveness of fattening of broiler chicken. The statistically significant higher daily body weight gain and lower feed consumption per one kg of body weight was found in the chicken from the experimental groups. The c
