| - The success of any integration process is always more plausible, if technological, social, and ideological systems of culture among affiliating countries are compatible. The question is, if it is the case in the former socialist countries of the Eastern Block as compared to the western countries, including the European Union (EU). In this article, we pay attention to the industrial innovation as a modern strategic element for organizations to reach competitive advantage, to survive on goods market and reproduce their organizational cultures. Today, 15 years after 1989, the innovative activity of Czech industry, as manifests itself in measurable outputs such as numbers of patents, registered at home or abroad by Czech subjects, and applied to the markets, it is still significantly low as compared with western countries in long terms. We have tried to find the causes of this unfavorable state of affairs and have found them in sharp cultural differences. The following findings led us to the conclusion t
